Francisco Marín-Sola, O.P.'s La evolución homogénea del dogma católico (Madrid–Valencia, 1923) is a large Spanish Dominican account of how Catholic doctrine can develop without becoming a different faith. Drawing on Aquinas and the wider scholastic tradition, it distinguishes homogeneous doctrinal growth from modernist or merely historical change and analyzes the role of theological inference, ecclesial teaching, and controversies about grace. The work became an important reference point in twentieth-century Thomist discussions of doctrinal development and remains a key primary witness to Spanish neo-scholastic theology. Benedictus Henricus Merkelbach, O.P.'s Summa theologiae moralis ad mentem D. Thomae et ad normam iuris novi, volume I (De principiis), is a twentieth-century manual of Catholic moral theology. Published in Paris by Desclée de Brouwer in 1935, it organizes fundamental moral principles—human acts, conscience, law, sin, merit, and related questions—through a Thomistic framework updated to the canon-law context of the period. The three-volume Summa stands as a representative Dominican manual for seminary and academic formation, while later moral theology reassessed the manual tradition.
